I guess you don't actually mean a GIFT but something to bring along since you mentioned the bottle of wine. Is he married? How about a nice gourmet nut set or flavored vinegars/oils? A fresh flower centerpeice? A nice desert?

I don't think you should bring a gift to a Thanksgiving Party. The proper thing to do in this matter would be to bring a nice desert or bottle of wine.

Ask someone else whos going to the party and go halfs with them on something impressive

If you're talking about a "hostess" type gift...besides alcohol.....there are a couple of things I can suggest. Nice candles, they can always use those.
