like je fais de equitation(that might be spelled wrong)

can someone help me with other sentences such as:
I do volenteering
I do skiing
and any thing else you can think of

je suis volontaire is i am volenteering cause suis is am

and im looking for strictly je fais things

to do is generally faire
(for french we have some problem to know when use to make or to do, because both are faire.)
