Dignity is important to one's self image. Dignity is also self defined. Some people see it as minor as using the right fork at dinner, and others see it as major as a code of conduct in dealing with society or their own sense of self-sufficiency.
Dignity has nothing to do with sexual preference, all lifestyles have dignity...and only a narrowminded, shallow fool does not realize that.
