Look at history, what other country that is as young as the United States has made such an impact on the world as a whole? Yes in some ways the United States is superior, but only because we have a country founded on freedom, how many other countries have that?

Both. America is superior economically and militarily to any other country, but that security and wealth affords every American the privilege of getting fat and stupid.

Our stupidity. If we were really superior, we wouldn't be off shoring all our american jobs, or selling our ports to those countries that want to destroy us, or welcoming illegal entry into our country for votes. Yes, I'm afraid it's our stupidity.

America has the resources to be #1. They often are. They live insular lives because they have no need to look outside of themselves for anything. They are not stupid -- just naive enough to think their sphere of influence is limitless. They don't know any better because they are not dependant on any other country for anything. They are in an ivory tower, that is all..

with the liberal takeover thats very much in doubt. the sad thing is that most liberals dont understand it wasnt a vote of confidence at all..it was a vote clearly of what the electorate thought was against the war only.
