Smart choice is material benefit oriented, not always a wise thing.

It would have to depend on what the choice involves.

For instance: the tires on your car are wearing out. The smart choice is to replace them because they could damage the car. The wise choice is also to replace the tires because they could cause an accident and harm someone(s).

However, another expample: thousands of people will die if a medicine that can only be manufactured with a process that will eventually kill the ten or so people that create it. The SMART choice would be to create it anyway saving the many by sacrificing the few. But the WISE choice would be to find some alternative.

actually, every choice is a smart choice and EVERY smart choice is a wise choice

there is no difference...u make coices with the knowlegde u have at the moment...
if person A makes a better choice than person B(both have the same iq), person A had more knowledge....but they both made the best choice...u cant say person A made a wise choice and person B made a smart choice...where can u draw the line?what if person C makes a better choice(when i say MAKES a better choice, i mean HAS a better choice because of more knowledge) .... so everybody makes the best choice(at the moment) and its ALWAYS smart...and there is no difference between a smart and a wise choice

u have no defining criteria for a smart and a wise choice

Imagine you have found a $100 bill.

Now if you knew that money belonged to an old man who dropped it would you give it back? Probably not, you will even deny having it if he asks you if you have seen the money.

What if that belonged to Mike Tyson? Would you still deny it? Probably not because you know all to well that he will break your jaw if you did.

So the smart choice of picking the $100 up is not always a wise choice. You just need to have common sense and not get beat up.

Your question comes down to the difference between smart and wise. Smartness is a measure of intelligence - basic mental ability. Wiseness is a measure of wisdom - how much one has learned and experienced.

So - no, they can be different. You could have an IQ of 300 and have no idea of how the world works - thus you would always be smart, but not wise. One could have slow wits, but have learned the great lessons of life.

A calculator is "smart" - it can come to complex answeres quickly, but knows near nothing. A book is "wise" - it holds many facts, but can answer no question.

A wise choice is the one made in harmony with the universe, one made using our inner voice, our intuition as a guide which is always there, willing to take us through the journey of life with joy and with grace.

It makes it the best possible choice for the universe and you at that moment, as universe always know what’s best for you and for all.

It might not appear to be logical but it is the best advice you will ever receive in your life.
