I believe you are asking about Motor Neuron Disease.
Motor Neuron Disease includes many severe disorders of the nervous system characterized by progressive degeneration of motor neurons.

Motor neurons which originate in the spinal cord or brain stem and synapse with muscle fibers are nerves that carry nerve impulses away from the central nervous system. It facilitates muscle contraction.

Spasms and exaggerated reflexes indicate damage to the upper motor neurons. A progressive wasting (atrophy) and weakness of muscles that have lost their nerve supply indicate damage to the lower motor neurons.♥
