I feel most peaceful in architecture or environments where there is a wall around at least three sides of me, if that makes any sense.

I like open type architecture w/ a nature type environment. a front room opening into a wooded area or onto a beach front or lake is beautiful and I think very calming.

I feel incredibly peaceful and at peace in large art galleries. The incredible amounts of history and emotion swirling around me have a very calming affect, and the muted silence allows me to contemplate the images before my eyes that are telling stories that are so much bigger than me.

My community college had a beautiful floor to ceiling glass wall. I felt peaceful there despite a crazy hectic life. Good question.
