By an ex (well we only had 2 dates and he gave me the heebeegeebees so i ended it gently)
He is sending lots of texts, getting really nasty. I dont want to change my number as I've had it for years and all my family know it and to be honest - why should I?
What do i do other than delete the txts when they come in before reading them?

First of all, don't delete your number. Be strong, let this weak punk know that you are not gonna be pushed around. Send him a text back...Stop sending me messages! Don't do it gently...end it like you need to end it. Be firm. See he is messing it up for everybody...so we need to get knee deep in his azz. And if that doesn't work....send me an email, and I will get him to stop myself. We need people working together to stop ignorant azz people. Yeah show the police the messages, there are laws now, and then call your provider and block that fool.

i can only tell you what i did when it happened to me
in the end i must admit i did change my number
but i took the phone to the police and my solicitor first
the police gave me a crime number
and my solicitor worked with the police
and brought an injunction on him
no that did not stop him
but with the injunction it put him in prison for a week
he sh*t him self
the reason i changed my number is because he put my number on the Internet
i had too many jerks phoning and texting me
this went on for six months
law works but not for long enough i had to take the law into my own hands and sent some friends round
friends he never knew i had and my name was kept safe
no violence was used before you think so
they just went round and took his phone and put a hammer to it
then he was told the texting fingers were next
last i heard he was sectioned

You could possibly get a restraining order if the text messages are intimidating or threatening. Save them and take them to the police. Then have his number blocked. Good luck

Simple call ur cell provider and take off txt msging for a month then put it back. Thats what i did! recivced a lot of weird txt msgs. Good Luck.

you may be able to get in touch with your service provider and block his number, failing that go to the police...you're right not to feel intimidated don't delete these texts anymore, make a record and write them down, don't respond just keep them in your phone and go to the police, they'll have words with him

Don't be nice to him,don't respond and he'll soon give up.
This is harrassment.Tell him to f*ck off.Don't be too nice cos they think it's weakness.
Get too busy to notice his harrassment,put the txts on silent then it won't be so annoying.
You don't owe him anything

ok 2 things!
ring your provider and block him, or keep the texts and go to the police.
or get a friend (male) to answer the phone and say this is her b/f fiance, husband stop calling and texting. etc.
i think you should go with the provider one really, say he is harrasing you, and you dont feel safe.

Just ignore or delete his texts...Do not read. That way you wont get hurt. What you dont know wont hurt you!
