Hi there, I am a ballet instructor with over 19 years of training/experience. I would not recommend starting a child younger than 5 in ballet but you can put them into a pre-ballet or creative movement class. As for any other age above 5, yes, you can start at any age. It really just depends on what your goals are with training. If you are looking to become a professional and you are in your 30s or older, the chances are extremely minimal. If you are in your teens, go for it. You can start at any age and potentially be good depending on what your goals are, what your age is, how much you dedicate to classes (which to be good you must take at least 2 times a week as a beginner and increase to at least 5 times a week and 2 classes per day...pros take classes all days long however so it just keeps increasing). It also depends on your potential as a dancer. You will never know if you dont go for it and try it out so get your dancing shoes on and go! And if your goals arent to become a dancer per se, all the better for you to be doing it out of mere satisfaction & passion for the art!

yes dont listen to the people that say u wont....
but it takes some time and a lot of hard work and practicing
it will not be as easy as starting from a younger age but if u try u will do good but im not saying u can become professional or anything i just saying u can be good
you have to have the patience to keep on going no matter what.you have to put ur heart to it.
for example is a girl started ballet at the age 7and u started at age 15 and the 7 year old doesnt like ballet and doesnt work hard but u work hard and like it then of course u will be better unless the 7 year old is especially talented in ballet ( my experience)

well it depends how old you are. I am about to start ballet myself and i am 15 years old. I have some experience from when i was younger. If you want to become good at it though u need to try hard and put in effort. I beleive you can do anything if you want to. Just because someone has more experience then you doesn't make them better. I am just about to start ballet because i think it would be great fun and i would like it. Don't listen to what other people say to you which is negative because it doesnt help. Just keep trying and don't give up. good luck for you! and have fun. hope this helped.

Yes you can, you can start dancing at any age. I started ballet this year and she said i have come along way for not have taken ballet before. Some people are natural at. This one girl in my class she just started this year and you would not even know that she just started. It also depends on how much effort you put into it. Good luck!

Of course, you can start at any age but to dance professionally you need to start young; the younger the better (3, 4 yrs old)

If you start at a young age ( which you can) and keep going with it and try your hardest you can be a great dancer rather than starting when you get older! so i suggest starting at a young age i started at 3
