Israel pulled out totally from Gaza in the summer of 2005. The optimistic intention and hope was that the Palestinians would build a self-sustaining society in Gaza, using the profitable hothouses left by the Israelis.
Instead of this, the Hamas and other Muslim terrorist groups immediately began daily bombardment of Israel with Qassam missiles, targeting the innocent Israeli civilian population.
The Hamas and other Muslim terrorist groups have been firing Qassam missiles at southern Israel since the summer of 2005 (when Israel left Gaza), targeting innocent Israeli citizens. Recently they have been "successful" and killed three Israelis and seriously injured several other Israelis.
Now these terrorists have been "successful" and killed one Israeli woman and seriously injured an Israeli man.
The Israel Defense Forces have the capability of flattening the town from which the Hamas terrorists have launched hundreds of missiles. Why does Israel not flatten this part of Gaza to stop the murderous attacks?

I agree with you and there are a growing number of Americans that are asking this same question.
I believe Israel has a right to exist, period. But Israel has exploited the good will of the American people and the American Government. Enough is enough. The way they have been behaving tells me that they aren't much better than those they are fighting against. I'm getting tired of our country paying a price diplomatically for Israels arrogance in the MiddleEast.
The United States needs to send a strong message back to Israel that we will no longer unconditionally support them. We will defend their right to exist and hold onto the land that has been rightfully theirs for thousands of years but that we will not condone their actions in the Gaza Strip and West Bank any longer.

I feel you are right...Israel has become the little bully in the area with big brother (USA) looking over its shoulder to make sure no one messes with them. However, Palestine needs to share in the blame (Hamas) for the acts of violence that they incur on innocent people. There will never be peace with the two countries.

because most americans are christian. there is supposedly passages in the bible that state "when the state of israel reaches some sort of critical mass" jesus will return.
so unabashedly they are carrying out god's will so they can see jesus.
