But the staement isn't true. It also ignores reality.

Politics was very different in the 80's when everything did (and had to) boil down to West vs. Communism. The fall of the Soviet Union changed everything. Supporting Hussein was not a good thing, but it was justifiable.

The US never supported bin Laden., so you have a major problem there.

Musharaff...what's the choice. Show me that there is an alternative to supporting him. Unless you support US forcing regeime change in Pakistan too?

'mark_gg_d' Musharaf took over the government of Pakistan by means of a military coup in October ,1999. He has never been democratically elected in the same way Tony Blair has.

yeah but musharaff has been democraticlly elected. Hes a president, and even appeared on American chat shows, hes not a terrorist or a dictaotr.
