When i am sitting still in drive and in park after a lil while the rpms start going up and down my lights on my dash start to darken and then brighten it feels like my car is going to blow up what is a matter!!??

Can be several things. Loose pulley comes to mind. Broken dampner on the crank, out of time, vaccumn leak. Have a fun day

Hard to tell what's wrong with it, and it would depend on if it is a 1923 Model T, a '54 Desoto, or a 1999 Honda Accord. Newer cars have all kinds of sensors that can can cause problems.

Three things! Bad battery which is overloading the alternator, air conditioning cycles or loose/worn drive belt/s.
