It actually is quite simple to use. but would almost be impossible for me to explain it over a message, find someone that knows a bit and they can give you a few quick pointers and then you are off on your own
good luck, most of the actions line, circle, polygon, etc. can be called up with one letter commands e.g. l,c,p right clicking stops the line 3-d though is its own monster

If you're in the UK, torch has a different meaning than here in the US. Here, a torch is what the Statue of Liberty holds in her hand. AutoCAD is actually very simple once you learn it. Drawing three dimensional objects is a little more complicated, but your "torch" is most likely just a combination of cylinders and conic sections. Change your attitude and it may become easier. I have been using AutoCAD for 17 years and sometimes I just use it for fun. If you endeavor to draw a "crappy" torch, that will most likely be your result.

auato cad was designed for engineers then revamps to fit architechs if all you want to draw is a simple torch just draw it freehand or use something simple like microsoft paint autocad is like anything else if it were real simple everyone would be using it
there are lots of smaller drawing programs that are much more user friendly and cost a tiny fraction of what autocad costs good luck on the torch drawing however to end up managing it
