is wiping machine dangerous?

Question

i work in a place where in need from time to time to wipe betacam tapes on a wipe machine, it is like a belt that moves from left to right, so we put the tapes on the belt and get wiped, i think they are wiped because of the strong magnit inside the machine, so is this bad for human body and cells?

it will erase your credit card number from the magnetic tape - and
the memory from your ipod or mp3
