Protective head gear, because I already have 27 cracks in my skull from my ex husband and I am completely immobilized when my hair gets pulled. That is one sure fire way to take me down, my poor head. :(

a titanium cod piece, to protect the family jewels, i want to enjoy physical pleasure when it presents it's self, after all i'm a single white male !

Something to protect my face. It's the worst spot to be hit, I think I could handle getting hit anywhere else.

Ballistic body armor, helmet, Remington shot gun (Riot/Assualt) model with a scatter choke. I know the question calls for only "ONE THING" but, I didn't want to break up such a GREAT "SET" ! a side arm of .45 caliber would compliment the ensemble, as well as providing "KNOCK DOWN" power to the attacker coming towards you (No wimpy 9mm's)

A bulletproof vest, cuz it protects my chest-area and most of my belly-area.
If you mean anitique body-armor, it would be a breast harnas. (again, to protect my chest)
