I don't live with many regrets, I like to think of even stuff I am ashamed of doing as being part of learning....
One thing I really do regret is losing touch with my best ever friend. We knew each other since Playschool, and we stayed in touch even when I moved abroad. I went back to visit her a few times, but sadly we lost touch, and we haven't spoken now in about 2 years. I really regret that.
I also regret not being there for my son for 3 months of his life. I was very young when I had him, and I "went off the rails" slightly... Still, I sorted out my priorities and 3 years on from that incident, I think I have made up for it.
;-)

Wow...the biggest regret I have in my life: I was living in an apartment about 2hrs away from my family. There were things in my life that my family didn't agree with but I didn't want to hurt there feelings or make them worry about me...you know? Anyways...I was sitting at home and my phone rang. My mom was at the apartment complex (gated community) and she wanted to come in. I told her no, that I was leaving. She asked me to meet her at the gate and I told her that I was in a hurry and I would have to see her later. The only thing I was doing that I didn't want her to see was smoking a cigarette. How pathetic was I? I still feel bad about it to this day but there is nothing I can do about it. She went out of her way to see me and I just treated her so badly. Man, to do that day all over again...how I wish. :-( I'm glad I grew up and she and I get along great now. My mom is freakin awesome...I think I'll call her in the morning and tell her how much I love her.

Here are 3 things i regret the most:
1. i said, "i hate you" to my dad. i've felt terrible for saying that ever since. because i really don't hate him. he's a great dad.
2. doing drugs in highschool. worse mistake i made back then. i wish i had never started. i don't do drugs anymore though...
3. spending the afternoon with my friends instead of my family. my older brother was leaving and i chose to go to a birthday party instead.

I regret not spending more time with my Mom and nephew, who both passed this year. And I regret not being able to go and help him(nephew-18) the morning he called and needed me. 5 hours later he was gone.

Doing illegal drugs in my younger years and by doing so, I made the drug use the most important thing in my life and everything else came last, including my children and friends. I thank God that I finally realized what I was doing to myself and my children. I have been sober for 15 years.
