ive got an internet connection with NTL 1meg i think but its the same connection as my friends and his appears to be alot faster, i contacted NTL and they said run spyware etc.. and it should be faster and thats all they said but it doesnt affect it, pls help :D

If you have internet explorer - TOOLS
internet options - delete temp files - ok
how long has it been since you defragged your computer
..I do it weekly)
and check disk for errors - monthly
should help your performance - AND
how many programs are you running at one time
choose Task manager - and close anything that you are not using
uses up your RAM (how much do you have)
my game computer has 2 gig of RAM

run ad-aware and a good anti-virus
i use avg free edition for anti virus.
also if you have a wireless router make sure people are not using your network, it can really tie up your bandwidth.
