I would rather live in a house so that I not only have more privacy, I would not be disturbing other people who live above or below me in the same building. I lived in a couple of apartments, once we people living above me and once with people living below me. You can hear sounds from the each others apartment and I did not like it. I also did not like the parking arrangements. Both apartments I lived in had like 50 units and 100 parking spaces. Each tenant was assigned 2 parking spaces, which caused problems when friends or family would visit for each tenant- technically there was no where for them to park and many times I would not have a place to park because of these visitors. It was a nightmare. I hated living in an apartment.

i own a condo which is like an apartment just more of a pain. i would love to buy a house and not have to pay maintenence, or share a wall with psycho neighbors. Also the association rules are a pain and it seems like constantly there is a new rule. the only good thing is that you don't have any yardwork or outdoor repairs. which you still end up paying for in the long run.

I had a house and it was a pain in the ***, mowing the lawn, taxes, electric bill was higher had to pay water something always needs to be fixed, more to clean, neighbors are just as nosy, kids playing in your yard, dogs barking, My apartment i have now just pay rent and electric, no lawn, neighbors are mostly old people and i have cop that lives next door so people dont act stupid its nice an quiet, if anything messes up or breaks just call manager to fix it and dont have to pay for it. Its just a lot cheaper and easier. I have kid 10 and 12 and they like it cause they have less chores cause its smaller LOL

House : it has a garden , it could be bigger , you have more privacy

apartment: more secure, easier , you might hear voices or noises, normally smaller than a house, easier in the winter

Both have their own benefits but I prefer a house ( personally)

economically a house is better for me. I want to put money into something I own instead of paying the mortgage for someone else. and have to live by their rules. That is such a waste. Now as far as maintenance and upkeep you almost have to be a handy man.

house... with a house you have a yard... and a garage.. and your very own parking... you can have a pool if you want one.. a house is probably a better place for pets than an apartment.... lotsa reasons I'd rather have a house!
