A long time ago,maybe 20 years back when I was a young child, I saw a movie called "The Last Leaf"?

I think it was just a tv movie, but it really touched me. It was about a sick girl laying in bed with a terminally ill disease and staring out the window at a tree across the way. Across the way was an elderly man who was an artist and saw her staring out the window. When he went over to meet her, he found out that she was looking out the window, watching the leaves drop from the tree, signifying her life dying . She belived that when the last leaf dropped, she would die. Months go by and that one leaf stays there. She finds out later that the old man artist across the way, had gone out in the cold, painted the leaf on his building behind the tree, just to give her hope. He died of pnenomonia.
Anyway, it left an impression on me after all of these years. Does anyone know where I could find this old tv movie???? Or the name of the writer??

the unique Hairspray (I hate the fluffy new one), it has an excellent type of segregation themes. Befor that it should be Crash, about widely used race kinfolk. And Dogma - the 13th apostle, Rufus, replaced into black and hence ommitted from the bible - very cool movie. *edit* whoever gave me a thumbs down. i'm no longer saying that Dogma replaced into cool because the Bible skipped over Rufus for being black. Rufus interior the action picture is a very cool personality who's p!ssed off and he's performed through Chris Rock. it really is a very anti-non secular movie. Geez. I responded the question honestly, those are the most present day action pictures I have considered with regards to racist themes. i have considered each of the strikes stated through the question asker yet no longer presently. a strategies out.
