Why is it that white folkes are so obcess with their precieve inability to use the "N" word and their obvious resentment that some blacks use it freely.

Confusing question, but we whites just want to know why it's wrong for a whhite person to use that word, but it's ok for the black people to use! That's all we want to know!
No hate intended to you=)

I'm white. I have no desire to ever use that word and I wouldn't use it even if it suddenly became acceptable for whites to say it. It's a bad word with a disrespectful, hurtful, degrading meaning. I have wondered why some black people use that word so much. It just doesn't make sense to me and I have tried to understand why they use it, but all questions about it are answered with the assumption that us whites are annoyed over not getting to use it. Get real (and bury your prejudice while you're at it). I simply would've thought it was better to bury this word completely, to not use it anymore, because no matter how much you use it, it will still be the same degrading, hurtful word it's always been and will keep dividing the nation by race instead of letting the nation unite and be just people for once (not blacks, whites etc.).

I just think that using this word all the time is ignorant and only keeps nurturing racism. I'm sure your ancestors turn in their graves too whenever you use that word.

The "n" word has a lot of power. And a lot of whites don't use it the right way. A few use it as a pure derogatory word. And others use it to say, "hey, we're all people, I'm one of you."

I think among blacks, it's an earned right -- "hey, we suffered, and if we want to use this amongst ourselves, we should be able to."

However, I think using it shows a victim's mentality. There are a lot of positive black role models out there.

BTW, there are also a lot of positive white role models out there, so I hope you weirdos talking about whites being a "superior" race will shut up and do something positive instead of just running your mouths.

Why don't we all just try to be superior human beings? It doesn't need a skin color to do it.

Racism is a illusion created psychollogically to distract us from the real corporate governmental war mongering criminals to fighting ourselves through childish words that capitalize our differences.Racism is now classist slavery its not about colors but about profit and who's better on the pedestal of glamour. This equals animosity and resent. So while were busy fighting each other as people we should focus on who's creating all these divisions between us and fight the system!!

i love what a comedian said about the word wherein you'd associate it with something pleasant like potato chips. Hey could you pass the "n" chips here or I need to buy some "n" chips for the game tonight. that was hilarious. then the word doesn't seem to hold any bad rep. but i beleive this could only happen in a utopian world....so many scars have yet to be healed.

Because we think that it is a very racist slur to black people and do not use the word because it offensive and a show of being totally disrespectful. I try to treat people the way I would want to be treated.

I don't need to use the word so I don't obsess over it. The times I have I was quoting something someone else said and other white people "shushed" me anyway. That pissed me off. It's crazy. I don't care what words people use as long as they aren't using it to hurt someone.

You know, I forgot that the word ****** existed until you brought it up!!!! In fact the words/notions of white and black dont even appear in my thoughts ever. It just doesn't even register in my mind. - I guess I am so lucky to be in a world where some of us dont even think about the colour of someones skin... Lucky for me I have all sorts of other things on my mind, and skin colour doesn't ever register as one of those things...

I don't obsess over it because using the word "******" is disrespectful. The same as c u n t, b i t c h, or any other rude word. I know just as many white ones as black ones.

just because some people make up their own language is no reason proper English as defined in the dictionary should be banned look up pusillanimous it's the same meaning in part without the reference to pigmentation
So why do people that butcher the language deserve censure of others
