Will it bring about Martial Law and if so, you know the Constitutional Rights of each US citizens will be suspened, "probably indefinent".
Will American citizens stand together, united? Even if they are the law enforcement personal, charged with violating peoples rights?

They probably will try and take our guns. Our ability to resist a tyrannical government.

United States citizens have become very passive and unwilling to fight any type of authority.
Americans would never "rise up" against the government no matter what it decided to do.
We have become lazy and complacent.

For those of you who have given me thumbs down, do you REALLY think that if armed soldiers went door to door and declared a police state that a nation of white collar workers and soccer moms who are scared to fight a traffic ticket would rise up to do battle??? GET REAL!

No martial law and a majority will unite, though there is always that group of people who campaign for the terrorists. It's not a tyrannical government, try living in N Korea and see what that actually means. US need to ban guns anyway!

actually i mnot getting what u really want to ask or discuss
this is the question about how much authority is given to the Marshal law by Constitution of USA to the ruler
if the Constitution give ultimate right to the ruling party then it may do what u said earlier as suspending all rights indefinitely or accuse ne1 for doing nething and bust him but this is only possible in case of internal warfare or internal imbalance such as emergency etc...
find definition of emergency in case political law @ http://www.informationliberation.com/?id=17432
u'll find how the seario we'll be then by this
also u can see which countries like pakistan are under marshall law and what is senario ther

Emergency powers can be exercised by Bush by declaring Martial Law and abolish the possession of explosives and firearms.

There is no way ALL of our guns would be relinquished. You consider this a tyrannical government? then go live somewhere else. If we weren't over there fighting to keep down the terrorist threat; everyone would be complaining again because we aren't doing anything. You just can't seem to satisfy everybody.

They would take your guns to protect you from yourself.

Martial Law is a temporary governmental structure used to enforce peace in an "out of control" situation. You would not have a problem with it if that attack you spoke of was on your doorstep.
