People who have unprotected sex have an 80% likely hood of becoming pregnant. (If you have unprotected sex during ovulation) Although you tried to have protected sex there is still a very high likely hood that she can and will become pregnant. She is in the right ovulation time (It is 12-14 days after the first day of her period). The best advice I can give you would be to have her get the morning after pill, it must be taken within 72 hours and it will prevent the implantation of a fertilized egg. In Canada you can just go to the pharmacy and ask for it. She may need to see a Dr. in the USA. You said she went to the bathroom to clean herself, I don't know if you ever heard this but people used to believe that douching with coke would prevent pregnancy. They where wrong!
Good luck!

I noticed you said she wont be taking any drugs just a min ago because they are dangerous! HAHA being pregnant is more dangerous to your health then taking the morning after pill! For one if she where to become pregnant and it was a tubal and it was not found on time she would hemorage and DIE!! Also I have been pregnant and I almost died 3 times during it. I have taken the morning after pill when I was young and dumb, and didnt want to have a baby, myself and everyone I have ever known has been fine.
Sounds like she might want to get pregnant with that statement you made.
As I said everything has its side effects but pregnancy is more dangerous then any of the others. The coil as mentioned below has been known to cause infertillity in a small number of woman and a large number of women report pain and discomfort aswell as heavy bleeding during menstration and spoting the rest of the time.

I dont know where Brandi got her stats but it is NOT an 80% chance of getting pregnant every time you have unprotected sex. It takes a lot of couples who are trying to get pregnant up to a year of planning it around the woman's most fertile times.

You are most likely going to be safe. Of course it is possible, and it happens all the time, but it is ALWAYS much more likely, when it was only one time, that you will not get pregnant. Especially when it's a time she was unlikely to be ovulating. Do not panic. She can take a test about 2 weeks after the incident, and it should be accurate by then even if her period isn't due.

i would have advised her to take the morning after pill, but i think it could be too late for that now ? you'd have to check. i think u have to take that pill within a maximum of 3 days. you mentioned that she'd washed, well, although that might have helped a little, it's still quite possible that she could become pregnant... afterall, it only takes one sperm to get her pregnant..... the odds of her being pregnant all depend on where abouts in her monthly cycle she is... maybe u could try contacting NHS direct on the internet and getting some professional help on this ? i think they offer a service that's a bit like instant messaging... u type in a question, and a qualified health worker will respond. hope it all works out for u.

If you want to be on the safe side get the morning after pill asap! Not sure when this happened but if I remember correctly you have 48 hrs after the event to take the pill. In the UK you can buy it over the counter at the chemist so easily done.

if your gf cannot take the morning after pill it is possible she can have the IUD coil fitted, she needsto speak to a doctor about this, although it maybe unlikely she falls pregnant it is not worth the small chance as it is clearly not what u want. At least with the coil there are no chemicals and drugs involved.

The odds willl be fairly high. If it has only happened in the last day or so go to the chemist and get the morning after pill if you do not wish to be pregnant.

hopefully she hasent ovulated yet so the chances of pregnancy are less, wait til her next periods due then see what happens if that is fine get her to go on the pill or something im sure the doctor will be able to figure something out with her health

im not sure when you posted this but you can take the morning after pill up to 3 days after you had unprotected sex, sooner the better though. If her next period is late then she should take a test but dont worry about it to much because that could drive you both mad, just wait and see :-)

I think your safe if she has a normal 28 day cycle, if it were say a 21 day cycle(meaning she bleeds every 21 days) she would ovulate one week( 7 days) after getting her period. With a 28 day cycle you usually ovulate around 2 weeks after getting your period...
