My cycle is normally 28 -30 days, never more or less. Last month we were trying to get pregnant and my period didn't arrive on time. I was very tired, and my breasts hurt, though they do sometimes before a period too. Then after 35 days I had a period. Seems a little heavier than normal, but not too much. What is happening?

Honestly...it could be either. You may have been pregnant, and it just didn't implant. You may just have had a long cycle. Either way, it doesn't matter now. Keep doing what you normally do..and Im sure you'll get pregnant and have a healthy baby soon. Good luck.

If you were on any kind of contraceptive pill then stopping could make your period irregular, But It is possible that you could have had an early miscarriage, its best not to dwell on it now, but if you are still worried then make an appointment to see your GP.

contraceptive pills keep periods regular - so if you have just stopped it after a number of years then your periods will be all over the place. sometimes antibiotics and medications make a difference to periods as well.
