When I am on someone's message list, I am starting to get messages, supposedly from them, that directs me to a picture site. This is NOT from them. I have not clicked on the site, which is probably why I have not yet caught this thing. Anyone know anything about it? Does YAHOO offer a cleaner?

Hi there,

There are actually a few of these infecting Yahoo messenger at the moment, normally new variants of the Polynomial Code Exploit:

I have removed this from a couple of friends' PCs recently by installing the Free Trial of Prevx1. This will scan your PC and remove this and any other infections free of charge.

There are many Yahoo Messenger viruses. Worm_Sohanad.AE is one of the newest ones.

"This worm propagates via Yahoo! Messenger. It does this by sending an instant message to all the contacts of an active user. The said message contains a link to a remote copy of itself. When the recipient clicks the link, the copy is executed on the recipients' system."
