When I'm searching for bargains I surf the net, Search E bay, Ask around (for example- my friends, family, etc.) and whenever I'm watching television I make note of the television advertisements. It's also a good idea to know the average price and quality of the things you are interested in so you know that you really are getting a bargain :)

you can go to thrift shops. i heard that the rich give their nice clothes to these organizations. i cant go though because most of the thrift shops stink like dirty socks.
