it should really be an individual decision as it is your body and no-one else's. it can be a very brave decision, to admit that you are not ready to mother a child and take responsibility. if it is not the right time etc for you, then it is not fair for the child to bring it into this world. it is hard enough growing up in this society let alone with a parent who doesn't really want you etc.

out of fear and not wanting anyone to know they got pregnant. Some are pressured into it by the baby's father or others.
