Why do so many girls (or guys i suppose) like yaoi? As a girl I can not understand the appeal. I mean of course i like really sexy bishounen but with a girl or by himself angsting. Not doing things with another guy. Oh I also heard yaoi meant Y-A-ma nashi O-chi nashi I-mi nashi - translated: no climax, no point, no meaning. True? Please don't hurt me fangirls.

You're right. Yaoi is too strange.
Even more so, it's just wrong.
The psychological reasons why fangirls go crazy over it, however, are because they like it as a watcher, in that they're just watching two handsome men be with each other and because of mary sues (female characters that don't seem good enough to be with the other male character).
For some reason, females who like yaoi present the idea that "love knows no gender", and yet are completely heterosexual themselves, which is a hypocrisy. The reason why they like yaoi is basically because they like eye-candy.
Most, if not all, of the time, the two male characters put together have no basis to even be in the same room.
In my mind, it's a perversion that I'm glad I got rid of.

At first, like you I saw nothing special about yaoi. Ok, two guys are together so what? But when you see it your whole persperctive changes. Now as a yaoi fan, I like it because simply it's not the same day-to-day thing. It really is different than what you see. Also, yaoi doesn't mean that two guys have to have sex. That is just a misconception in my opinion. And that "yama nashi o chi nashi imi nashi" can also mean: No peak, No point, No pleasure. But it literally means what you said.
We, fangirls don't hurt people who don't like yaoi. We are a friendly bunch~!

yaoi is more than just bishounens. some stories are really touching though it's guyxguy. you will learn to understand how homosexuals feel. and, oh yeah, that is not what yaoi means.>_<

Most girls want what they can't have. Gay men are interested in each other and never the girls. Hence, girls like yaoi and gay men so much.

perhaps for the same reason us guys like to see girl on girl action. what creeps me out is that some seemingly straight guys like yaoi.
