I believe in the existence of a life after death. But I don't believe that anyone can describe it accurately nor judge on who goes where and why. That is up to someone or something that is beyond our current level of understanding and our only guide is often mistranslated religious texts of various religions that may or may not hold guidance in a better way of life in order to gain a better life after death.but these texts and religious beliefs should never be used to try and judge others or behave with self righteous attitudes carried by self propaganda.

I often ask questions to this effect and from what I can gather from the religious folk, being admitted into heaven has nothing to do whether your a good person or not. You can act like a saint everyday but if you are not a christian you will go to hell.
I am not a Christian but would rather not be allowed into heaven to spend eternity with a deity who would turn away good, caring people just because they don't follow the rules of a book.

I don't believe in Heaven or Hell. They're just a scare story to allow the authors of the Bible to control the masses through fear, IMHO.
If there is a heaven then everyone who had done good with their life should go, regardless of how religious or not they are.

Of course heaven and hell exist. Just ask yourself why we exist? The whole purpose of this short life is to test us. We are tested in every action we make. The angels record our good and bad deeds. On the day of judgement we will be judged by these deeds and God will either punish us or reward us in the paradise of Heaven.

There are many things on Earth we cannot Explain such as the Incidents that happened during the filming of the First Omen Film,
The Film or part of it was based around a Number "666"
How can you explain these "incidents"
*The plane for scriptwriter David Seltzer was struck by lightning
Star Gregory Peck, in a separate incident, had his plane struck by lightning
Richard Donner's hotel was bombed by the Provisional IRA
Gregory Peck canceled a flight to Israel, only for the plane he'd chartered to crash, killing all on board (a group of Japanese businessmen)
A warden at the safari park used in the "crazy baboon" scene was attacked and killed by a tiger the day after the crew left
Rottweilers hired for the film attacked their trainers.
On the first day of shooting, the principal members of the crew survived a head-on car crash. Reportedly the odometer ended in 666.
The curse seemed to follow the cast members even after production had ended. While working on his next project, special effects artist John Richardson was injured and his girlfriend beheaded in an accident. *
I dont think these were mearly a coinsidence, do you?
Its almost Impossible infact impossible for this to happen, maybe one accident during filming but several? somthing was going on.

based on the question you need to define a bit more...but here goes anyway..i do not believe there is some bloke with a big white beard neither do i believe there is some bloke sitting in flames ready to reward or punish us after death..then again, how arrogant would it be to think that is all there is...we all believe in something greater than our own selves even if it is just the blind fate chance brings us...look upon our planet from space and what do we appear as..a load of ants running around for 80 years(if we are lucky) and then NOTHING...i refuse to believe that...there has to be more...our arrogance is not that bad as a race surely...or is it????

Of course not, they were created to try and enforce/ instill morals in people through threats and rewards.. My reward for being good is that it makes me feel good to help people, not because I do it to get to "heaven"... If there are a heaven and hell how big would they have to be... and do they have a problem with people migrating there illegally???? ;)

Hel,(hell),was the town dump outside the gates of Jerusalem, with smoke & flames.Anyone who upset the religious leaders was threatened with being sent there after death,there-fore being denied the usual funeral rites. The fear of having their families suffer such disgrace kept most people in line.

No. Not the way its is described but I do strongly believe in Karma (Actions) which would make our life a living heaven or hell on earth itself.

I believe in heaven not hell.
I think that I will go to heaven, I do not hurt people intentionally I aways treat other the way I would expect to be treated. My sexuallity I believe has very little to do with it, god loves us all no matter who we decide to spend the rest of my life with.
I believe we all go to heaven and a god who loves us all would not send any of us to a lifetime of pain and suffering
My god loves me I firmly believe this.
