Monarchy is the Head of the Nation, ultimate power. This is given now to a family who hand it back to the people through Parliament, a body of people elected or voted into situ. which is divided into 2 groups (House of Lords and House of Commons) so that there is always a place for reconcilliation. Subdivisions thereof then occur through to local councils and individual citizens.

India and Britain has same type of government, President of India
and King and queen of England has same powers.

True they do rubber stamp very thing but in case of emergency they can become absolute dictator or absolute monarch.

Now the slight deference.

Queen's and King's children will come to throne, without election or a appointment, but President is appointed by the Parliament.

Queen's and King's do have right to appoint without election few members in the house of Lord or Upper chamber of the Parliament.

In India also at one time there were permanent seats in Rajsabha for Ex Indian Kings and Queen, those were passed on from generation to generation, this all changed in around 1972 time frame. India had some appointment in Rajsabhah, of very elite.. or highly educated people at one time.

At least one queen the Rani of Jahnsey gave her seat up in RajSabhah and opted to run for Loksabhah, and was elected from time to time continuously. Ultimately she was defeated.
