Yes, there is a hide option in tally. You hide the name of company in Tally. When ever some one opens tally he would see all company names but the company you have encrypted.
This is done by applying tally vault password.
While creating company say yes to tally vault password and give the password.
Just create the company and close it. when you open company in Company selection menu. You would see ************* against that company name. After selecting that company you have to give tally vault password and then it would show you the company name.
But beware, Before applying vault password you should be alert, that if you forget you vault password then there is no way to recover your data or opening the company. You have to dump it.

yes there is option to hide company name and you can also hide each segment .

There is no hide option but there is a feauture for implementing controls.
