get some rubber gloves on and a bucket with straight bleach in it, then sponge it on to the brick work, leave for about 15 min to half an hour, and wash off.... for the grout just go over it again with new grout

Z-BRICK is made with all-natural materials -- no synthetics involved and The Z-MENT used to adhere Z-BRICK is a water-based product. Basic water and light dish soap along with a soft wire brush will suffice. Z-Brick recommends Z-Brick projects be sealed with our clear Z-Sealer 2 full days after drying
Z-BRICK projects are not used with "grout". Grout is for tile.

i would support ahotman's idea, as well as using a stripper (to dissolve fat/grease) to cut the oils. Afterwards, one should remove all these harsh chemicals by diluting with with water, and re-seal (protect) your beautiful brick with whatever products are available on the market. :)

As for cleaning the joints (grout lines in between the brick) a medium-stout brush should be used, with small circular motions (so that you will be able to get into the pores).

One CANNOT simply grout over old grout, the old grout (which is probably cement) must be removed and regrouted..or you'll have loose chips (from the new grout) all over your nice floor.
