Guys, the answer is 1.

1 = 5

2 = 25

3 = 75

4 = 125

5 = 1

There is really no pattern in it.
(5, 25, 75, 125) is not really a pattern in the problem.

It is only made in order to create an illusion of a pattern.

The fourth number is 125 so as to confuse you.

That problem is like:
(cow = car)
(water = tv)
(tennis = juice)
(keys = piano)
(car = ?)

Numbers were used in the question so as to confuse you.

So the only flaw in the problem was that it was titled: "This is a simple math problem but quite difficult for my friends.? "
because it is NOT really a mathematical problem.
It is a riddle.

Watch the pattern.
5, 25, 75, 125, ?
After 25, each number increases by 50.
175 is a possible answer.
5, 25, 75, 125, ?
All multiples of 5
5*1=5
5*5=25
5*15=75
5*25=125
Note that with each multiplication, the number 5 is multiplied with increases by 10.
So 5*35 = 175 again.
Now we definitely know that 175 is the answer.

This is a stupid problem. All of the above simply ignore the first term 5. You can't do that, so there's no reason in the world to assume the fifth term is 175. But with the first term as 5, there is no reoccurring pattern.
