My daughter who is a democrat is happily married to a die hard conservative. They don't talk politics.
The key is that you respect each other. If you cannot agree... agree not to agree and get on with life.

I think in this country we are coming to an age of "approaching common sense". What that means is that we are beginning to realize that the status quo only works marginally at best, for both major parties. And that we need to start looking for the best of the options, as opposed to the lesser of two evils. This was supported by some of the recent election results. The good old boy network must go away, and we must begin to seek common goals as a society, and learn true partisanship. Perhaps you and your bf could work something out. Politics should not be among the things that should keep two people apart, who were truly meant to be. Best of Luck!

Wise Ben Franklin said never discuss politics or religion with anyone you want to stay friends with. Everyone thinks they are right. And in todays political climate they think the other guy is an idiot for what he prefers. The best way to stay together is to agree not to discuss politics and just respect each other dont look down on each other for differing views. We talk about diversity all the time but when it happens we cant handle it.

My husband is a Liberal and I am a Conservative. The only thing we fight about is politics. We have changed each others views on a few things but we really butt heads on Religion and its place in our world view. My husband is a genius and I respect his views even though I don't always agree. He never bashes anyone for there point of view, but has a good time giving silly answers in yahoo.

Sure, I would convert them. Guess you could say I am an open minded republican. I don't agree with all their stances but it's the lesser of the evils. My lady is undecided and leans both democrat and republican. I'm working on her though as I am a business owner and democrats tend to be death on business.

As for how we work things out, we discuss them openly. We are in Washington State which is a Democrat stronghold state and business is starting to run from our state just because our state government has become so burdensome that business's are getting way over taxed and regulated. Their is no helping hand towards business here. They have forgotten that most people are employeed by small business and they are crushing them. It's not hard to see when your around here how life is according to the democrats.

Definitely!
There are many other issues more important than political inclinations!
Also, political inclinations are to change; depending on the progress of the parties and the leaders of them!
Most times, all these are looking only about themselves, neither for the country, nor for the party, nor for the people and environment!

Unfortunately no... I tried dating someone once that was a far right Republican. We made it for awhile by not ever discussing politics but I think in the end, the idealogy on society is just too different.

No since Republican men are notorious for beating their wives and children. They want to flaunt money and their sense of security as values. My boyfriend is a Liberal with a double PHD, you wouldn't catch him waisting his time on this network. He has written 12 books to date with his dissertation and is very wealthy being a Liberal. Their are men out there that aren't EGO driven that would love to have a relationship with you if your looking in the right places and act accordingly.

Neither of us claims any party. However, we both tend to view things conservatively. We have some differences, but we just agree to disagree on those issues. It can work, but you have to steer clear of the "hot" issues that you disagree on. Or just do like we do and agree to disagree.

distinctive perspectives could look as though a issues couples harm up over, besides the undeniable fact that it relatively is not. If suggested 2 people enjoyed and cared for the different, then distinctive perspectives does not rely. they could argue, besides the undeniable fact that it is going to likely be in a non-extreme way. as long simply by fact the couple is happy, then why could perspectives rely?
