Trend Micro PC Cillin Internet Security protects your computer from nasty critters waiting to bit at your PC. It offers real time internet protection. But McAfee is also just as good with its '8-in-1' protection programme. Both are the best. Choose the cheapest.

Both Norton & McAfee are resource hogs and slows down computers' performances.

Trend Micro is very good, as is AVG 7.5 (free) and CA Trust's AV (12 months free)

well that depends on what features you are looking for. trend micro provides real time protection, deep file scan and complete file scan so you can scan computer registry etc. one more advantage that trial version is fully functional. more at http://www.2-spyware.com/review-trend-micro-anti-spyware.html

AOL is offering free security center which is based on the Kaspersky antivirus which is suppose to be very good, but I never tested it. I'm using nod32 myself - which is very light and very good (you never notice it until you have a virus/worm risk on your computer - and then you can't miss the scary warning screen).
