Who pays you a better percentage? I have heard reports that google pay around 80%, but there is no real proof of this, and that this could be just for their larger companies. Also the percentage that they pay fluctuates....How can a company not give you a fixed percentage?. Surely then they take a better cut for the big paying ads.... anyway does anyone know about yahoo adsense? do they pay a fixed percent? thanks to any responders.

No one knows exactly how much both Google Adsense and Yahoo Publisher Network pay their publishers. The revenue sharing is kept secret, and whether it is a fixed percentage or sliding scale is unknown.

And I agree with you - I wouldn't be surprised if the revenue share is a sliding scale with the bigger sites getting a bigger cut compared to the smaller site.

The only number I saw with Google Adsense is the NY Times article dated Jan 2006 entitled "Google's Shadow Payroll Is Not Such a Secret Anymore" that says the revenue share is 78.5 cents to a dollar for the publishers http://www.nytimes.com/2006/01/16/technology/16ecom.html?ex=1295067600&en=362ce1aae484c0b1&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss

"Google.com and the company's foreign search sites contribute more to Google's bottom line than AdSense, because for every dollar the company brings in through AdSense and other places that distribute its ads, it pays roughly 78.5 cents back to sites like Digital Point that display the ads."
