Get yourself a fake tan - either do it yourself or go to a salon for a spray-on tan.

Don't go for the real thing or use a sunbed, it is so bad for your skin. Even if you are not concerned about the possibility of skin cancer, you must think about premature ageing. Sun exposure prematurely ages skin. Those girls you see that have fabulous real tans every summer? They look great and healthy now, but they will look much older than their fake-tan friends in 10 years time.

Only a few years ago, there was not a great range of fake tans out there, but now the choices are endless. You can get a lotion or a spray, or start off with something a little easier like a tanning moisturiser.

I had the same problem using the neutrogena tanning lotion. I end up going to the tanning booths, first time for about 5 minutes then increase by 5 minutes everytime. You get a nice even natural looking tan :) But beware, its addicting ;)

you can get a tan quicker in the tanning bed but an actual sun tan looks better, you know you can also use those tanning lotions that you use for the bed out in the sun too. I did the spray tan before from the tanning salon and suprisingly it turned out very nice but it cost a fortune I think for 2 times it was 100.00 but it was a special occasion. other than that I don't know. hope it helps you!

Hi,,, the way that i do it,, is stay out about 45 minutes, on front and back for about the first week,, and increase it from there,, usually not more than 2 hours or 4 all together,,, if you do it that way,, it will not burn you like trying all at once to get one..
I am dark complected also,, so i tan quite easy with out any use of stuff.....

good luck....

Sun, but since that can hurt your skin, most likely a spray on tan.

sunshine-if your fair skinned start out about 10 min on each side everyday. after you start to darken increase the time you lay out each day. i wouldnt go over an hour a day on each side without some type of sunblock

If you're getting splothes, make sure you're putting the lotion on evenly. otherwise, you'll get different sun exposures and it'll give you that splotchiness.
