I am working on a logo for a band. I've came up with some great ideas so far, but I think I need some new ones. I've been listening to thier music for two days, and I need a little kick. What do you do when you're in my position?

Listen to all of their music and give it sincere listen... Devote all your attention to listening... Forget that you're making a logo for them at all... Just listen and listen a little more until you're exhausted... Remind yourself about the logo thing when you're done... As maybe you go to sleep since you're so exhausted from listening, think about logo ideas now that you've really absorbed their music, it should give you some ideas...and when you wake up, eat a good meal or whatever you might do to get your brain going at 100 and maybe turn on some of your favorite stuff of theirs low in the background and try out some of your ideas and pick the one that seems to fit best.

Let your hand doodle freely while listening to the music for a while, and then look at what you've drawn and try to start from the most promising parts.

Also, if you listen too much for the same music it becomes bland after a while. Try maybe to spend one day or two without any music. And then listen again the album. It should come new and fresh.

More generally, when searching for inspiration, I go for a walk. I've noticed that often ideas come when you relax and let the mind wander, like in the bed before falling asleep, or in the shower...
Good luck!

do something where you ask all of them to tell a story about the album, maybe some common theme will appear. The album cover does not necessarily need to reflect the music inside, in fact rarely does it.

Take their CD, hop in your car, and go drive around while you listen to it. Pay really close attention to the things that you see and your emotions while listening to the music. Eventually you'll see something around you that matches what you feel...a person, a location...something will click.

well, i'm kinda a "hippie in disguese" (totally against animal cruelty, i'm a vegetrian, totally into peace-world peace that is-and a total country music freak), and i draw constantley, my inspiration comes from nature. nature and fairies ;)
um, for a band, um, well, what kind of music is it? i suggest going into a dictionary and flip through randomly and find a word that sounds catchy and has a good meaning to it.

good luck and keep rockin'!

MEETS NO TREAT FOR THOSE YOU EAT!!!! GO VEGETRIAN!!!!

Well, how does the music make you feel when you listen to it? That might help.
