As we know, the Israelis pulled out totally from Gaza in the summer of 2005. The optimistic intention and hope was that the Palestinians would build a self-sustaining society in Gaza,
based on the innovative and profitable hothouses left by the
Israelis. Instead of this, the Hamas and other Muslim terrorist
groups immediately began daily bombardment of Israel with Qassam missiles, targeting the innocent Israeli civilian population. Now these terrorists have been "successful" and killed one Israeli woman and seriously injured several Israelis. Clearly, the Israel Defense Forces have the capability of flattening Beit Hanoun, the town from which the Hamas terrorists have launched hundreds of missiles. Why does Israel not flatten this part of Gaza to stop the murderous attacks? What other military action should Israel take to defend its citizens?

Israel has been far too nice to the radical palestinians. What country would stand by and watch their citizens be terrorized and killed when they have a decidedly stronger military/defense force. Most countries would have driven the palestinians into the sea by now because of their refusal to stop their aggression on the Israeli population. The only reason Israel hasn't done this is because we (the US) and other countries have asked them not to.....the answer is it can't be stopped. The radical palestinians are so fanatical about their religious differences they do not want peace with Israel but instead want the innahilation of Israel.

a) Stop attacking Gaza. 1 person dead per year because of Qassams isn't a bad casuality figure compared to the hundreds killed each week by Israeli fire into Gaza. Crazy drivers in Israel kill that many every hour. Deal with it.

b) Leave the West Bank. This includes East Jerusalem.

c) Release all Palestinian prisoners. Send them back to Gaza/WB.

d) Remove restrictions from Palestinian ports, borders and airports.

e) Return them their customs money and let them collect their own from here on.

f) Leave the Golan Heights/Shebaa Farms area. The UN will decide what to do with it.

g) Sign a peace treaty with atleast the more reasonable Arab countries (Saudi, Morocco, Lebanon etc)

h) Build a fence on the West Bank ON THE GREEN LINE. Not wherever you feel like it.

i) Invite the UN and EU to extend their mission in Lebanon to the Palestinian areas as well. Eventually they will be able to convince the groups who own the bombs and missiles to stop using them.

Terrorism is at the root of it a political problem, not a security one. To solve this problem requires a political solution. When you attempt to use military solutions against terrorism, situations like WWI and the Iraq quagmire result (not that Iraq had anything to do with terrorism to begin with).

Rather than responding to every Qassam missile by killing 200 Palestinians try to ask them why they are doing what they are doing and help them solve their problems. Once you establish their trust you will find that support for the terrorists will diminish significantly and their supply of militants will dry up.

Northern Ireland or Punjab are excellent examples of how terrorism is best combatted by strict policing (not military operations) in combination with political compromise. Nothing else has ever worked, and nothing else ever will. Only when Israel understands that will it ever have peace.

You have to ask why missiles are still being launched.

Firstly we all know the Israelis are above the law and can bulldoze houses and agriculture land anytime they like despite the UN frowning and bellowing about it.

We also know the Israelis condone assassination and their technique for doing so is usually a 2000 LB cruise missile slamming into a car with no regard of the surrounding of the car. So most time dozens of innocents are killed and injured. All this despite the human watchdog frowning and bellowing about it. All because Israel is above the law.

I don't condone any violence from any party but I do have many sympathies for the innocents who are ignored by the rest of the world.

I would say Israel leave the Palestinians alone and let them live with some dignity and you may find they will stop firing pieces of scrap metal and throwing rocks at you. I know its a major response to your devastating CRUISE missiles.

But someone must show initiative first.

I will be viewed either anti semitic or a peace loving person.

The members of the UN need to see a higher calling, promoting and supporting world peace, instead of different nations working for their own private agendas. There are probably people on both sides of this conflict that want peace, but there are those who just want to kill and they must be stopped by the world through the UN.

And merely how would you experience in case your Son or Daughter have been between those killed or terrified via the Hamas terrorist rockets. The cowards who launch those rockets and blow up civilians in Israel cover among the civilians in Gaza. that's they, and that they by myself who undergo the accountability for the civilian ( if there somewhat are any disinterested harmless civilians) deaths in Gaza and the West monetary employer. Arab moms proudly deliver their little ones off with bombs strapped to them and then scream homicide whilst they blow themselves up. Are those meant to be civilized human beings? in case you want to acknowledge how the Israeli's experience wait till some Muslim enthusiast blows up a university in Des Moines or Peoria and kills a gaggle of little ones. optimistically it particularly is now not certainly one of yours.

Oi...
if only I had the answers...
I honestly think that some people don't really want to find a solution, they just want to get their way in this conflict, and we all know that is not possible in a modern society...

I really don't know how this is going to end; but I'm sure a lot of people are still going to die just because all these fanatics can't seem to be able to live their own lives in peace and they just try to spread hatred in the world.
