What is your reaction to the news that Peter Jackson will not be directing the Hobbit because of a failure on the part of New-Line to settle a lawsuit with Wingnut films. (There were some profit disputes because of accounting and distrubition).
Personally I feel this is the stupidist thing NewLine could have done. They should have settled and moved on. Now they are facing some potnetial boycots and some really unhappy fans.

thats what I heard. He did such a wonderful job too. i dont know if people will get involved enough to do a boycott but if they find out that it is an inferior director it might just tick people off not to go.

How unhappy,... I enjoyed the Hobbit and had examine the e book an prolonged time in the past... I watched the lively video and became very stressful to work out what Mr. Jackson might have the flexibility to do with it so a approaches as making the action picture! I enjoyed the LOTR video clips... all of them have been superb! i'm somewhat upset now! Oh nicely.. DARN IT!

I read something in the article about how they have a limited window to make the movie in and thats why they decided to go without Peter Jackson! Peter Jackson has a full schedule already as does Ian Mcclellan, so perhaps they decided that the only way they would get all the actors involved NOW is to do it without Peter Jackson! Hopefully they can resolve the lawsuit, cause Peter Jackson deserves to direct this, and we deserve to see the movie he would make!!
