There is a lot of material to choose from... when you say ballad I am drawn to something cheesy as opposed to something like Sweet Child O' Mine... it just rocks to hard to be called a ballad.
Here is my choice.... "I Will Remember You" by Skid Row. It still holds up as a pretty good song... even though it is a hair band tune. In truth Journey probably has about a dozen classic ballads from their 80's work, so whadda you do? I will go will Skid Row.
