I am about 6 weeks pregnant. I have been having severe cramps and a sharp pain in my lower back that began about 16 hours ago. I am not bleeding. I didn't know if anyone else has experienced this or not.

I delivered a son by c-section 3 years ago, and ever since then I have had pain surrounding c-section scar. Doctors said I could have fibrous material surrounding it. Will this affect this pregnancy?

This pain is worse than contractions.

Just got back from ER. Doctor did blood work, urine, and pap. Everything came back normal. My cervix is thick and closed. She said I have bacterial vaginosis. I had this when I was prego with my son, but I don't remember it hurting so bad. They gave me a shot of demerol and phenogren, so I am going to bed.

Call your doctor! you're worrying me with the lower back pain!

Definitly go to the e.r. if you start having severe cramping,and/or heavy bleeding with clots, or tissue!!!!

I would head for the ER, if the pain is worse than contractions that is a definate reasons to go, no matter the cause you need to have it check out. Good Luck

Well you shouldn't be having those cramps.

Actually, on second though, when I was pregnant, I got cramps in my abdomen and I went to the doctor and they told me it was due to my ligaments stretching. My suggestions is, make an appointment with the doctor just to be on the safe side.

As with your c-section, you shouldn't worry about the scar, your not going to split open. Discuss it wit your doctor though, so that he is fully aware of w hat is going on.

Good luck!

It sounds like your C-section scar tissue has grown into your uterus. You could lose the baby without immediate medical care. Go to the ER NOW.

Crystal, I would call the doctor on this. It could be something like a kidney infecton or it could be something totally different. But the doctor is better equipped to diagnose this.

Could be a lot of things, including an ectopic pregnancy - definately go in right away.
