I did, it was slow at parts, but interesting.

Yes, it was pretty slow...

Don't they think that they actually died of dehydration and hypothermia rather than shark attacks though? They said that they found their scuba gear washed up with no indication of a shark attack. The heat of the day and the lack of water made them a bit mental and they think that they took off their scuba gear and then froze, but were never found.

I am usually unaffected by movies. Although I especially enjoy sci-fi, horror and suspense flicks, I have a strong stomach and never get freaked out. But "Open Water" disturbed me on a personal level. I'm a former scuba diver, and I used to think about that very scenario happening to me. I knew in advance that the movie was based on a true story, and that made it all the more disturbing. The whole time I was watching it, I kept thinking about how it must have been for those two people, especially during their final few hours. Although a lot of the facts are now known, much of the mystery will never be solved.

I agree with fishtown i am also a former scuba diver and surfer and have seen many sharks and never want to see another one as long as i live yes that movie freaked me out when the shark hit the girls air tank whoa !!!! I would often think about that stuff when i was in the water. really disturbing movie especially to former divers and water enthusiasts. good luck and god bless and happy thanksgiving.

yeh its pritty old now tho , my friend works in qld and she books the tours n diving n stuff and she actually knew of a couple that got left behind bt it was only for 2 hours they found them, so it can happen and u could easily get left out their and forgotten about and eatten by a shark, personalily id freak out , id probabily have an anxiaty attack or some thing and end up drowning .....

I saw it. It was really slow and what was that nude scene about? It looked a little out of place to me.

yeah, they were showing it on a cruise. add to that teen girls singing the theme to titanic every night at karaoke, the trip was great, oh yeah, that was the year of the tsunami in thailland.
