It really depends on what bill it is. If it is a bill collector from a past amount- i throw it in the box. If it is something from right now, I open it, look at the due date and toss it back on the table. When i get paid, i pick it back up and write out checks....

But mainly, majority of my bills are on automatic deductions from my checking account. That way i dont have to worry about the important ones like the student loans, car insurance etc...

i recently found a sealed enveloe from 2004 from the hospital with a bill for my son when he was admitted. lol.... geez i am slow...

I have all my bills set up so that they are withdrawn from my secondary account, which gets half of my direct deposit for each month. And each bill is set to be paid on the same day, so I know they are all taken care of at the same time. And if I overbudget, then I take out the leftover and have some fun!

I leave them until I have all the bills for the month and then pay the ones I have enough money for.

I generally pay it before hand, if I have the cash. I have my accounts set up online so that I know my bill before it comes in the mail.
That way I know exactly how much I have left to spend.

It really depends on the bill. My car insurance get paid on time every month. My Netflix and Gym memberships get taken right out of my checking.
Everything else gets paid when I get the chance. I am a horrible bill-burier. Out of sight, out of mind- they weren't lying when they made that up!

Usually pay it right away, if there's money in the bank for it.

I usually don't pay mine until they show up at my door to disconnect. I've even been sued a few times.
