This is a belief that my mother in law teaching her daughter who is my wife. Me and my wife have two kids and seperated. I was asking my wife about her intentions in the future and her mother was also there. Her mother could not hold herself from stating that she(her daughter) doesn't need man anymore because she had what she needed from man. I was stunned by it. Why does mother tell this to her daughter? She doesn't want her daughter to commit to any relationship or what is going on. My wife lives with my mother in law. Somebody told me about her belief about 4 years ago and I did not believe the person who told me this. But now i have heard it myself so i cannot say that i did not hear it. Please tell me what is going on and what is best option for me. Also it is me who is trying to reconciliate with my wife for last 2 years.

Mom has been burnt by men and will control her daughter to follow her beliefs. Your wife needs to step up and make her own decisions but apparently allows mom to control her because she's afraid of her. In the future don't speak about anything personal in front of the evil mother-in-law. Get her alone. And good luck to you.

No shes not teaching her right, i think shes trying to tell your daughter that she don't have to put up with any crap and she can raise the kids on her own if she has to, Why would your want to be with someone like that anyway...

Well I think your mother-in-law is talking bs. SHe has played a major role in screwing up your marriage, and your wife listens to her mother than decide whats better for her.

that's the newest thing i've heard, considering i'm a female...
i definitely need a guy even AFTER i get a baby, though i'm not thinking of having children yet...
so certainly tough for you... try talking with your wife alone if possible--and make sure you ask everything in one session and don't leave if you're not clear about anything... :)

So she basicly saying u were a donor?? I always say I dont understand y women want kids after they marrie, b/c, no offence to u, but most men r big kids who never grow up, they're toys just cost more the older they get. That's a direct quote fr. me.

Most women love their babies/children more than their husbands especially if their husbands do not prove to be good, loving husbands. They rather give up their husbands than their kids.
