To the best of my knowledge, there isn't a good certification program for C/C++ programmers. That's a pity. A good certification program would be most useful. However, C/C++ lacks the central organization that would produce a solid certification program, and a certification program without authority or that focussed on syntax would be worse than useless.

But, ICCP Conducts all Language Certifications

Brainbench is a recognised certification company. They do C test and certification.
Please see: http://www.brainbench.com/xml/bb/common/testcenter/taketest.xml?testId=52

It is not free though. Their tests are good. Your employers can verify the certification using a Transcript ID.

I'm not sure, but I think there is an ANSI standard for C.
