Isn't it just an excuse to get drunk and riot?

A better question: why is golf considered a sport? After all, all they do is hitting a ball with a club! Oh wait another one: is NASCAR really a sport? I can't believe some people enjoy watching 20+ cars making LEFT TURNS ONLY for 4 hours! How about football? First there are at most two kickers in each team; next, most of them don't seem to come in contact with ball (kinda frustrating for a BALL game).

The truth is when you don't know about something, try to understand it instead of bashing it because every existing sport is subject to criticism.

Two last words: GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

soccer is the real football. Why do they call football "football" when you hardly kick the f____ing ball. Besides pads are for sissies. Try playing rugby. Soccer was one of the first sports ever invented. It requires tremendous amounts of stamina and athleticism unlike football where they take a freakin break every freakin 10 sec.
