Many members of our government (conservatives and liberals) have been contemplating whether or not to use Iran and Syria to help resolve our wars. Only time will tell if this is a good or bad idea.

No.

The CIA just released a report that Iran is not building nuclear weapons.

Beyond that, consensus building is necessary through diplomacy between nations, including those in the Middle East. That means that when nations are communicating, the US and other nations should be there as well. There is much rebuilding to be done after the debacles of the Bush Administration. Rebuilding-- not bombing.

The world needs to find a way other than war... and fear.

It is time for Bush to expand his diplomatic horizons. He has tried to go this alone in a culture thousands of years old, as if he was John Wayne walking into a western bar. It would not hurt to explore the possibility that others in the region might have something to offer, especially as he has made such a mess of the present situation. As even Henry Kissinger suggests there is no military victory to be had left in Iraq, Bush might do well for us all to allow more chairs at the table.

Before Saddam was toppled the Iranians were supporting the Shias to cause problems for Saddam. What do you think is going to happen now that there is no effective and strong govt to speak of? Either way the US has to sleep with the devil for them to have any semblence of peace in the region.

Yes. There should be concern because a resurgent Iran will strengthen the Shia Muslims in the region and may attempt to destablise the Arab countries like Saudi and UAE.

Regardless of your political persuasions, Americans who drive depend in part on oil from the Arab countries that look to the US for military protection.

It's just a price you have to pay for driving your SUVs and your over-sized suburban lifestyles.

Bush administration is paranoid. There are hundreds of people killed in Iraq on a daily basis after US-UK invasion. All world countries, specially Iraq's neighbors must engage to get it out of this quagmire created by greed for petrodollars.

No. i think the US should stick to taking care of its people more often. Let the other countries exercise the same freedom we would like ourselves to have. Most of the problems in the Middle East are about religion and not politics.

The U.S should just pull out of those countries and let them govern themselves and start worrying about Korea Cause when that war starts we won't have a line of defense because G.W. Bush killed them all in Iraq.
