I'll answer the questions I feel I can and skip the others.

"Why does the PS3 cost so much?"
The PS3 costs so much because of all the advanced technology used. Even at that price, they're taking a loss on every unit sold. Some people think it's because they simply can charge that much and people will pay it, but that's not true. You're getting a deal, honestly.

"How long do you think it will take for the price to drop?"
At least six months to a year. Depends on how long it takes for the technology it uses to become outdated and therefore cheaper. Once they start making profit on sales, they'll concider dropping the price. They DO want to price it lower, they just can't. Like I said, they're already taking a loss. It'll drop as much as they can without going into the red on sales. Fifty to a hundred, depending on how long they wait.

"When I hook the router up to the PS3, will it autohook up?"
It should, for the most part. It depends on what your router is, of course. I am sure the PS3 comes with explicet instructions on how to set that all up and even if that doesn't work, you call call their Tech Support.

"Will the PS3 Look better than a PS2 on a 420 TV?"
Absolutly, the PS3's graphics card is MUCH better than the PS2. The PS3 would look better than the PS2 if you plugged it into a rock.

"Why is the Wii so much cheaper?"
Nintendo is relying on using less expensive technology, but innovative ideas to sell it's product. It won't be anywhere near as visualy impressive, but the idea is to expand the borders of the world we call Console Games.

"Do you think it's [The Wii] is going to be less sucessful and drop it's price soon?"
No, Nintendo is in a very good position for the holiday season and could very well come out with a greater potion of the market than anyone. [Even if they do, it won't stay like that long. PS3 will take the lead by the end of the First fiscal quarter.] But, put it like this. PS3's are going to be very expensive and hard to find, most parents who's kids want one will say, "Well, what should we get instead?" They'll find out the 360 has been out for a year and assume it's not as cool, they'll see that the Wii is as new as the PS3, has a much better price tag and they'll take it home. Nintendo is going to make an absolute killing this holiday season.

"Can you use the GameCube Controlers instead?"
I belive the use of the GC controler is specificly for use with GC games, since it is backwards compatable. I didn't get a Wii yet, but I got Zelda and the instruction manual had no instructions for a GC control pad. I wouldn't worry too much, most reviewers have been very happy with the control system.

"Are the graphics better than on GC, PS2 or XBox?"
On paper, yes. Only very slightly better than the XBox. I did not see comparison numbers against the PS2, but I belive it would is probably just about as good or very slightly better.

"Is there internet play on the Wii?"
As far as I'm aware, no. Nintendo doesn't have anything similar to 'XBox Live'. However, they do connect wirelessly to your wireless router, so the possibility exists for Nintendo to start something or for publishers to support it on their own.

The PS3 is definitely the most sophisticated of the three systems, which is why is the most expensive. I'm not really certain on its specs, maybe someone else can answer that. But I highly doubt the price is going to drop anytime soon. Sony is losing money in huge amounts on the ps3. A drop in prices will not help Sony get back in the black anytime soon. It would probably take more than a year for it to even begin to show signs of dropping. Since it doesn't come out until next March in Europe, the price will stay the same. I can't answer any of your other ps3 questions, sorry.

The Wii is cheaper because it is a simpler system. The 360 and the ps3 are comparable to strong computers, while the wii is still a console. I don't know if the price will drop, but I expect it to have a lot more success than the gamecube, since it is cheaper, more fun to play, and of course, there's a big nintendo fanbase. Yes, you can use the gamecube controllers, I don't know if they'll work for the wii games. And yes there is internet play for the wii.
