I really didn't see what the huge deal was. I mean, yeah he's an idiot for saying that.. but WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL? I hear tons of black people calling each other that. Did anyone make a big deal out of that black guy calling Richards a, "white *** cracker"? Now why isn't that a big deal? I just don't get how it's totally fine for black people to call each other that famous "N" word, AND call white people, "crackers" and "white boys". Can you imagine if it was the other way around? What if it was a black comedian being heckled, and the comedian starts calling the person in the audience a, "Cracker white boy". Then the person in the audience says back, "You N*GGER!" Just my opinion.

i think of that's a double oftentimes going on! the actuality that rappers say the "N" be conscious (No i do no longer use it!!) each and every of the time!! and you pay attention a majority of those little hip hop clowns communicate over with themselves because it returned the different be conscious...I have no problem with the actuality that he snapped and observed as them something they probably refered to themselves as all day long besides....It became into the remark that brought about it "If it became into 50 years in the past you would be putting the different way up with a fork on your a*s" That blew my recommendations... something like that only does not roll off your tongue till you have thought approximately it till now..That became into unbelievably offensive and crossed each and every there became into to pass in my recommendations!! The dudes occupation has been lifeless for years. So i won't be able to even say he buried himself with that remark...yet he specific enable human beings recognize the place his recommendations lies..he's racist no if's ands or buts approximately it.

OMG I was just about to ask about Michael Richards! I'm going to TiVo Letterman tonight and I encourage all Seinfeld fans and curious parties to do the same. Then, come back and more people can answer the question.

N i g g e r = African American slaves

Crackers = White men that used to whip the African American slaves.

Do you see the difference now?

Yeah, there's a HUGE difference.

Cracker doesn't exactly have years of slavery and oppression attached to it.

And... i don't think anyone could possibly look at Richards the same way again.

johnnybutt - a little thing called context. see i don't have to apply for a job or go into a store and walk out, worried that black people will call me a cracker or white boy. i know they'll respect me. but if i was black, i'd know lots of people were talking behind my back etc. i don't care if black people call each other the N word, that's a different context. they decided to take the word back for their own use. fine with me. i'm not racist and won't be calling black people that. but i'll call diddy or 50 cent morons all day long, it has nothing to do with the color of their skin!

G'day Bill W,

Thank you for your question.

It certainly doesn't help his career. I hope he earns plenty of residuals from Seinfeld because after this, his career is going to go into a nosedive. He has appeared on Letterman although apologising to "afro-Americans" isn't going to help his cause. He is blaming rage issues.

Regards
