That is the way it seems to me.

Since day one. "Most of our imports come from overseas" is not the kind of talk from our president that makes me proud. "Nucular" has also stuck as an irritant. He seems to pride himself on that stuff. On the more serious side, invading a country that did not attack us, voiding the Geneva Convention and advocating of torture, wiretapping without court orders, detaining people without charges, trial or representation, calling those that disagree traitors; these and many other such things coming from our government is much more than embarrassment. It is contrary to everything I hold dear about being American. And then there is all the death and destruction, for what? I think we all would like to find that out, in open hearings. If that happens, there are going to be a lot of very angry Americans.

Although I am far from a Bush fan nothing him or his administration does can make me feel embarrassed to be an American. There is more to being an american than 8 years in the "bushes". To many great things have happened in America. Many great things are yet to come. You cannot just cower in the face of hard times. That is what being an american is all about. Overcoming all obsticles including the elected at the time. The good, the bad, the ugly...the best thing you can be is an American.

I'm embarassed that Americans could have allowed the Supreme Court to "select" Bush as our leader, but not that I am an American. I was PROUD to be an American on November 7th though! The American people turned out in MASS to reject his "leadership".

Theres still hope for this country and the world now that the Dems are here to save the day (as usual).

Maybe now New Orleans and the Gulf Coast will get some much OVER DUE help.

there are maximum of ignorant individuals that have self belief this horse doo doo. yet there are various that be attentive to this might nicely be a team of lies. Al Gore could be tried and sent foreign places for the biggest scam ever. i've got self belief that this had some purpose in human beings talking the guy toddler to run for President. They see the lack of information interior the human beings that took this lie hook line and sinker. this could only harm us extra. they have no real evidence that any of this could be worth it. The Windmills won't be able to circulate in extreme winds. What stable will that do? Our Reps are stupid. they are milking money out individuals any way then can. yet some jerk o** Senator claims that human beings do no longer care how they spend our money. The UN only made it unlawful to assert the word Islam. That corporation needs to get the hell out of our usa! Thugs, Liars and thieves. The UN is a slaughter abode. we ought to take a stand and get our usa back! Rush had the main astonishing speech the day gone by. i substitute into speechless. Then Steele had the nerve to criticize Rush. Steele is only a Rino. i'm no longer happy that he's the Chair. How dare Steele. sure our Reps are guffawing at us all. I for one do no longer delight in this therapy. i'm waiting to get accessible and clean this shrink to rubble. we won't be able to take a seat now no longer.

At times... I would hate to be in some other country as an American... They would think I'm like all the rest of them, that I support Bush and his hacks, that I support this war, that I'm rich. And none of those things are true. The world has such a messed up view of "who" we are right now and that because of Bush, and yes that embarasses me.

Finally, there is a new government that people want to be involved in. They no longer want to be left out the way the Bush administration was working only for a few rich people.

People who used to support Bush no longer do so. The new government operates through consensus, they want your opinions and ideas. The problems this country are in now need to be fixed as soon as possible.

I support Bush, but even under Clinton I was proud to be an American. Being an American doesn't depend on the administration in power, but the country we live in, the freedoms we enjoy, and the history of this great land!

No, even if you don't agree with him he is an honorable man, and truly believes in fighting for freedom. Bush haters keep claiming he lied to the American people but there isn't any evidence of that.
Repeating Intel you've received from the CIA and Great Britain doesn't make you a liar.

Humiliated. I live in Quebec and I am genuinely embarrassed to tell people that I was raised in the States.
